Xavi Pascual is a Spanish professional basketball coach who is currently the head coach of Zenit Saint Petersburg in the Russian VTB United League and the EuroLeague. He was born on February 13, 1972, in Gavà, Catalonia, Spain.
Pascual began his coaching career in 1998 with the amateur team, Castelldefels. He then moved on to coach a professional team, Cornellà, from 2001-2003 before joining FC Barcelona Bàsquet as an assistant coach in 2003. In 2008, he became the head coach of FC Barcelona Bàsquet and led the team to numerous successes, including two EuroLeague titles in 2010 and 2011.
Pascual is regarded as one of the most successful coaches in European basketball history and has been awarded the ACB Coach of the Year award four times including in 2009, 2011, 2012, and 2014.
In addition to coaching, Pascual has also been a basketball analyst for several networks, including TV3, Marca TV, and Eurosport España.
